going away dinner

after 15 wonderful years on the Eastside  (10 in Silver Lake, 3 between Echo Park & Los Feliz & a couple in the USC ghetto), i'm packing up for a land far far away. it's called Venice Beach & it's on the Westside! lets face it, i'm not getting any younger & it's time for me to shape up. Muscle Beach here i come!!!

El Caserio is an Ecuadorian restaurant which fuses Latin American & Italian cuisines just how i remember it in Quito - another wonderland i sadly moved away from - sigh! their food is simple & good. the place is called El Caserio - 401 Silver Lake Blvd - the entrance is in the back at corner of Robinson Street & London Street. its just off the 101 fwy... the place is low key but nice - believe it or not, it's hipster free - just like when i moved to Silver Lake in the 90s!!! we'll be the coolest people there. hold it - we're always the coolest everywhere... anyway, i hope you can make it!
